What to expect |

Device Hosts screen |
You select the NetBackup media servers that the wizard scans for devices. See Device Hosts screen . |
SAN Client screen |
SAN Client license only. If your environment includes NetBackup SAN clients, the Device Configuration Wizard discovers those clients and displays them in this screen. See SAN Clients screen . |
NDMP Servers screen |
If a media server controls an NDMP device, you must provide the NDMP authentication information for each media . See NDMP servers screen . |
ACS Hosts screen |
If a media server controls an ACS robot, you must provide the ACS device configuration information. See ACS hosts screen . |
TLM Hosts screen |
If a media server controls a TLM robot, you must provide TLM configuration information. See TLM hosts screen . |
Scanning Hosts screen |
All hosts that you selected in the previous screens are scanned. See Scanning hosts screen . |
Conflict Detected screen |

Backup Devices screen |
Verify the list of the devices that the wizard discovers. See Backup devices screen . |
Drag and Drop Configuration screen |
A tree diagram of the devices lets you verify the device relationships. If you have to fix the relationships, you can drag drives from one robot and drop them on another. If you continue past this screen, you can no longer roll back your configuration to the original settings. |
Updating Device Configuration screen |
The wizard saves any configuration changes, restarts the daemons or services, and generates a progress report. |
Configure Storage Units screen |
Storage units are created for each media server (or SAN media server) and device found. This storage unit information is saved in NetBackup. If your configuration has no storage devices, you can configure a disk storage unit for NetBackup. This screen is skipped if all storage units are already configured. |
Device Configuration Wizard Finished screen |
The wizard is finished. |
