Device Hosts screen

The Device Hosts screen displays a list of NetBackup media servers to scan for attached storage devices. All NetBackup media servers that are in the EMM database appear in the list.

Select the media servers that you want the wizard to scan. Be sure that you select hosts to which devices are attached, as follows:

Shared drives

For shared drives, select all hosts that share a drive. The wizard scans all the hosts that share a device. The first host on the list that you select is scanned. This host becomes the robot control host if a robot is found on the SAN. NetBackup records the shared device configuration on each host that you select in the Device Hosts list.

ACS robots, TLM robots, and storage servers.

The wizard cannot configure these devices automatically. For each host to which one of these device types connects, specify the host and then click Change. In the Change Device Host dialog box, select the device types the host controls. The wizard then prompts you for the extra configuration information later.

Storage servers include NDMP, OpenStorage, and PureDisk devices.
