Backup devices screen

This screen shows the results of the device scan. All of the devices that the wizard has discovered appear in the list. The list also displays all of the paths to each device that are discovered.

Review the list to determine if all of the devices were discovered.

Also review each device to determine the following:

If the list of devices matches your configuration and limitations do not prevent configuration, click Next to continue to the Drag and Drop Configuration screen.

If the list of devices does not match your configuration or a limitation prevents configuration, continue with the following troubleshooting procedure:

To troubleshoot device configuration

  1. If a device does not appear in the list, click Cancel to exit the wizard. Then, do the following to continue:

    • Verify that the missing device is physically attached.

    • Verify that all operating system and device installation steps are completed.

    • After the operating system recognizes all of the devices, run the wizard again.

  2. If the device appears in the list but you cannot complete configuration because of a limitation, click Cancel to exit the wizard. Then, do the following to continue:

    • Perform the action that the message recommends.

    • Run the wizard again.
