The Form properties dialog box gives you quick access to useful information and settings for the selected form.
To display a form's properties, open the form and click the Properties toolbar button .
The General tab shows the form's name and the navigation tree image associated with the form. You can change the icon representing the asset in other parts of the product. You can select an .ico file that contains both a 32-pixel and 16-pixel icons (both which are in the same .ico file). This format allows the icon to show correctly in the Design console tree view (16 bit), in the Web console tree view (16 bit) and in the Relationship Viewer (32 bit). If you use an .ico with just the 16 bit icon, it will display in all places and the Relationship viewer will stretch the icon out to fit, thus making it appear a little blurred. Click Change to change the image and click Reset if you want to reset the image back to the default.
The Security tab displays a list of any groups or users who have access to the current form, and indicates which permissions those users or groups have for that form. You can also use this tab to add, change, or remove user permissions. See Setting asset form permissions.
The Tabs tab shows the existing tab names on the form and lets you add, remove, and reorder tabs.
The Column order tab shows form controls with the Show column in table attribute selected. When this attribute is selected, data from that form control appears in the Web console summary views for the form. Use this tab to change the column display order.
The Events tab shows what workflow starts when a user creates an instance of the form or updates an existing instance. Check Start a workflow when created or Start a workflow when updated and browse for the workflow you want to start.
You can use the audit history feature to audit control changes when users add records or make changes in the Web console. By default, form control auditing is disabled. To enable auditing for a form control, move the controls you want from the Available controls list to the Audited controls list. You can view the audit history by clicking the History toolbar button . See Form auditing in the Design and the Web consoles.
You can use the Tab access tab to assign which users or groups can view each tab for the form in the Web console. You can also select which roles have rights to see the form view. For more information, see Tab access.
Use the Tab visibility tab to filter which tabs in the Form definition are displayed in the Web console based on the items of a static list. The data list is associated with the Form as part of the combo box control. This feature can be turned on or off by selecting/deselecting the Show or Hide tabs based on static list values checkbox. For more information, see Tab visibility.
