Data type | Range | Default value |
---|---|---|
REG_DWORD | 0 | 1 | 0 |
Determines whether registry files appear in the list of files that users can delete from their roaming user profile.
When a user's roaming user profile grows too large, the system displays a list of the files that comprise the user profile, and asks the user to delete files from the list.
By default, the NTuser.dat and NTuser.dat.log files, which store and record changes to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER subtree, are excluded from the list, because these files should never be deleted.
This entry stores the setting of the Include registry in file list check box in the Limit profile size Group Policy. Group Policy adds this entry to the registry when you enable the policy. If you disable the policy or set it to Not configured, Group Policy deletes this entry from the registry and the system does not regulate the size of roaming user profiles.
Value | Meaning |
---|---|
0 | The checkbox is cleared. Registry files do not appear in the profile file list. |
1 | The checkbox is selected. Registry files are included in profile file list. |
When the value of EnableProfileQuota is 1, and a roaming user profile exceeds the threshold established by the value of MaxProfileSize, system does not let the user log off until they delete enough files to reduce their profile to a permissible size.
To change the value of this entry, use Group Policy. This entry corresponds to the Limit profile size policy (User Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Logon/Logoff). Select or clear the Include registry in files list check box.
Note
This entry is used only when the Limit profile size policy is enabled, that is, when the value of EnableProfileQuota is 1.
