HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Netlogon\Parameters
Data type | Range | Default value |
---|---|---|
REG_DWORD | 1 - 500 pulses | 10 |
Defines the maximum number of simultaneous pulses the primary domain controller (PDC) sends to backup domain controllers (BDCs).
This entry is designed to limit the workload that sending and processing responses to pulses place on the PDC. The PDC must be powerful enough to support this many concurrent replication RPC calls.
Increasing the value of PulseConcurrency increases the load on the PDC. Decreasing the value of PulseConcurrency increases the time it takes for a domain with a large number of BDCs to replicate a SAM/LSA change to all of the BDCs.
Note
For Windows 2000, Net Logon manages replication only when it involves servers running Windows NT 4.0 or earlier. Net Logon for Windows 2000 does not manage replication between two servers running Windows 2000.
Windows 2000 does not add this entry to the registry. You can add it by editing the registry or by using a program that edits the registry.
