Introducing Quest Reporter : Appendix B: Attributes and Regular Expressions : Linking Attributes : Linked Attributes and Stored Data

Linked Attributes and Stored Data
If you are reporting on stored data and your report includes linked attributes, you must incorporate the linked attributes into your scheduled collection. For example, if you are reporting on NTFS Share and Folder Permissions, and have linked in group members, display name and last logon time, you need to collect this data. If the data is already collected, Reporter uses the collected data in the report, and you don’t need to perform a separate collection. For example, if you have already collected the Group Membership report, you’ll have all the stored data you need to report on the linked in attributes in the above example. If you don’t have this data collected, you need to collect it, either in a separate collection or by adding attributes to the report collection.
