Partitioning, formatting, and installing software on an existing computer as a Cooperative Mode computer is similar to that of a Consistent Mode computer.
Follow the instructions for partitioning, formatting, and installing software on a computer. When prompted, choose to partition, format, or install software as Cooperative (Coop). The hardware and/or software information is stored in the Configuration Database, but no hardware or software jobs are initiated.
