Each Xmanager session logs debugging information as a file in a user folder. When multiple Xmanager sessions are running at the same time, each session generates log messages in a different file such as X0.LOG, X1.LOG, and so on. The number on the log file indicates the display number of an Xmanager session.

When you experience a problem in using Xmanager, it is helpful to see the log file.

To view the log file of the current session:

  1. Right-click the Xmanager tray icon or the title bar of Xmanager main window or click the small Xmanager icon on the title bar of Xmanager main window. RESULT: A system menu appears.
  2. In the system menu, point to Log and then click File. RESULT: Notepad opens the log file.

To view the log folder for all sessions:

  1. Right-click the Xmanager tray icon or the title bar of Xmanager main window or click the small Xmanager icon on the title bar of Xmanager main window. RESULT: A system menu appears.
  2. In the system menu, point to Log and then click Folder. RESULT: The Log folder opens.
