To import a component definition file

  1. On the Toolsmenu, click Component Management, and then click Add.
  2. In the Find Component Definition Filedialog box, open the folder that contains the component definition file you want to import.
  3. In the list box, select the component definition file, and then click Open.
  4. When the Component Definition File Importdialog box indicates that the file has processed successfully, close the dialog boxes.
  5. Add the components from the component definition file to your configuration.
    Note   Components and capabilities are imported along with the component definition file. Your entries in the Components and Capabilities sections of the component definition file determine where they are listed in the All Nodes pane.
    To view the imported component definition file, go to the Imagemenu, and then click Settings.
    If the component definition file does not import successfully, correct the file by using Component Designer or a text editor, and then repeat steps 1-5.
