You can change the behavior for how the device retrieves voice mail on two-line devices using three registry settings. Different behaviors occur depending on how you set the registry key. You may need to change the settings depending on Operator requirements.

The HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Vmailregistry key contains the configuration parameters. The following table shows the named value.

Value : type Description

VmailFlags: dword

Determines the behavior of two-line devices when retrieving voice mail.

0

Dial the current line to always check voice mail.

1

If there is no voice mail in both lines, dial the current line. Otherwise, dial the line with voice mail.

2

If there is voice mail on both lines, dial Line 1 first. Otherwise, dial the line with voice mail.
