The priority level of a queue specifies a single base priority for all messages sent to a public queue.

By default, the priority level of a queue is 0.

To change the priority level of a queue
  1. Declare an MSMQQueueInfoobject.

  2. Call MSMQQueueInfo.Refreshto retrieve the existing properties of the queue.

  3. Set MSMQQueueInfo.BasePriorityto the new priority level.

  4. Call MSMQQueueInfo.Updateto change the priority level of the queue.
