This function sets the default time-to-live (TTL) value for the local computer.

Syntax

DWORD SetIpTTL(
  UINT 
nTTL 
);

Parameters

nTTL

[in] The new TTL value for the local computer.

Return Value

Returns NO_ERROR if successful. If the function fails, it returns an error code. For a complete list of error codes, see Error Valuesor the SDK header file Winerror.h.

Remarks

The default TTL can also be set using the SetIpStatisticsfunction.
