This function toggles IP forwarding on or off and sets the default time-to-live (TTL) value for the local computer.

Syntax

DWORD SetIpStatistics(
  PMIB_IPSTATS 
pIpStats 
);

Parameters

pIpStats

[in] Pointer to a MIB_IPSTATSstructure. The caller should set the dwForwardingand dwDefaultTTLmembers of this structure to the new values. To keep one of the members at its current value, use MIB_USE_CURRENT_TTL or MIB_USE_CURRENT_FORWARDING.

Return Value

Returns NO_ERROR if successful. If the function fails, it returns an error code. For a complete list of error codes, see Error Valuesor the SDK header file Winerror.h.

Remarks

To set only the default TTL, the caller can also use the SetIpTTLfunction.
