NdisInitializeString

This function allocates storage for and initializes a counted string in the system-default character set.

Parameters

DestinationString
Specifies NULL when this function is called; on return from this function, points to a buffer containing an initialized counted string.
SourceString
Pointer to a 0-terminated string with which to initialize the counted string.

Remarks

This function sets the Lengthand MaximumLengthfor the destination string and terminates the destination string with 0.

If SourceStringis NULL, the lengths are set to 0.

The buffer allocated by this function should be released promptly with the NdisFreeStringfunction.

A driver that calls this function runs at IRQL PASSIVE_LEVEL.

Runs on Versions Defined in Include Link to
Windows CE OS 2.0 and later Ndis.h    
Note   This API is part of the complete Windows CE OS package as provided by Microsoft. The functionality of a particular platform is determined by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and some devices may not support this API.
