Prevents the system from updating Group Policy settings while a user is logged on.
This entry stores the setting of the Do not apply during periodic background processing option in the policy–processing policies in Group Policy.
Value | Meaning |

Background updates can disrupt the user, cause a program to stop or operate abnormally, and, in very rare cases, damage data.
To change the value of this entry, use Group Policy. This entry corresponds to the Do not apply during periodic background processing option in the policy–processing policies in Group Policy.
Note
This entry only affects background updates, which occur periodically while a user is logged on. It does not affect the updates that are always performed when you restart the system or when a user logs on.
This entry overrides customized settings specified in the installation script for a policy.
This entry is not supported by the Software Installation or Folder Redirection client-side extensions. Therefore, this entry is ignored if it appears in the {25537BA6-77A8-11D2-9B6C-0000F8080861} (Folder Redirection) or {C6DC5466-785A-11D2-84D0-00C04FB169f7} (Software installation) subkeys.
