HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\
The System subkey stores the entries created when you configure a Group Policy that affects a basic component of Windows 2000. The entries in this subkey are created and maintained by Group Policy, and are read and interpreted by the component programs.
The Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System subkey in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE stores entries related to policies that apply to all users of this computer.There is also a Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System subkey in HKEY_CURRENT_USER, which stores policy-related entries that are configured separately for each user.
To add, delete, or change the entries in this subkey, use Group Policy.
