Description

Removes the Documents menu from the Start menu.

The Documents menu contains links to the non-program files that users have most recently opened. It appears so that users can easily reopen the documents.

This entry stores the setting of the Remove Documents menu from Start Menu Group Policy. Group Policy adds this entry to the registry with a value of 1 when you enable the Remove Documents menu from Start Menu policy. If you disable the policy or set it to Not configured, Group Policy deletes the entry from the registry and the system behaves as though the value is 0.

1 The policy is enabled. The Documents menu is removed from the Start menu.

You can use the Remove Documents menu from Start Menu policy, in coordination with the Do not keep history of recently opened documents policy (NoRecentDocsHistory) and Clear history of recently opened documents policy (ClearRecentDocsOnExit) to customize access to recently opened files.
