REG_DWORD | 0 | 1 | 0 |
Removes the Disconnect item from the Shut Down Windows dialog box on Terminal Services clients.
This entry stores the setting of the Remove Disconnect item from Start menu (Terminal Services only) Group Policy. Group Policy adds this entry to the registry with a value of 1 when you enable the Remove Disconnect item from Start menu (Terminal Services only) policy. If you disable the policy or set it to Not configured, Group Policy deletes the entry from the registry and the system behaves as though the value is 0.
Value | Meaning |
---|---|
0 | The policy is disabled or not configured. The Disconnect item appears in the drop-down list of options in the Shut Down Windows dialog box. |
1 | The policy is enabled. The Disconnect item does not appear in the drop-down list of options in the Shut Down Windows dialog box. Terminal Services users cannot use this familiar method to disconnect their client from a Terminal Services server. |
To change the value of this entry, use Group Policy. This entry corresponds to the Remove Disconnect item from Start menu (Terminal Services only) policy (Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System).
Note
This entry affects the Shut Down Windows dialog box only. It does not prevent users from using other methods of disconnecting from a Terminal Services server.
