Description

Specifies the maximum time within which a user must be successfully authenticated. If the client does not complete the authentication process within this time, the user is disconnected.

Change method

To change the value of this entry, use the Max time limit for authentication policy in Group Policy. (Computer Settings\Software Policies\Windows NT Remote Access)

Activation method

You must stop and restart the Remote Access service before changes to these values take effect.

Note

Windows 2000 does not add this entry to the registry. You can add it by editing the registry or by using a program that edits the registry.
