Specifies the maximum number of times the Remote Access service attempts to authenticate a client.
This entry differs from CallbackRetries which specifies the maximum number of times the remote access service tries to call the client back for the purpose of authentication.
To change the value of this entry, use the Max number of unsuccessful authentication retries policy in Group Policy. (Computer Settings\Software Policies\Windows NT Remote Access)
You must stop and restart Routing and Remote Access before changes to these values take effect.
Windows 2000 does not add this entry to the registry. You can add it by editing the registry or by using a program that edits the registry.
