Determines whether pop-up error messages that appear when the system starts are suppressed. You can add NoPopUpsOnBoot to the registry to prevent Windows 2000 from displaying messages when no one is there to read them, such as computers that are configured to log on to Windows 2000 automatically.
Value | Meaning |
---|---|
0 | Pop-up error messages are displayed. |
1 | Pop-up error messages are suppressed. |
Note
NoPopUpsOnBoot does not suppress the message notifying the user that the domain controller cannot be contacted. To suppress this message, use ReportDC.
Windows 2000 does not add this entry to the registry. You can add it by editing the registry or by using a program that edits the registry.
