Office XP Tweaks - Turn on and off AutoArchive

If a user wants his Outlook calendar to be configured that he can look back further than 2 months. To do this follow the next steps:

  1. Select File and choose Archive.

  2. Select the date from the “Archive items older then” 

Turn off Auto Archive

Do any of the following:

Prevent Auto Archive from running on all folders:

The following procedure turns off Auto Archive for all folders, including individual folders with Auto Archive turned on.

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Other tab.
  2. Click AutoArchive.
  3. Clear the Run Auto Archive every n days check box.

Prevent AutoArchive from running on one folder:

  1. In the Folder List, right-click the folder you want to Auto Archive, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu.
  2. Click the AutoArchive tab.
  3. Select the Do not archive items in this folder option.

Note   This does not prevent retention policies from running on this folder.
