NumLock does not toggle on by default, even if you have it set in your PC's BIOS.

To enable NumLock, follow the next steps:

1. To open the Registry Editor click on the Start button on your taskbar, then click on Run and type "regedit" and click on OK to start the utility (see picture 1).

2. Expand HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Keyboard (see picture 2).

3. Double click the value to change InitialKeyboardIndicators from "0" to "2" (see picture 3).
