Internet Explorer Tweaks - Internet Explorer Help Menu Restrictions

The menu items with the Internet Explorer "Help" menu can be individually removed or the menu disabled completely using this tweak.

  1. To open the Registry Editor click on the Start button on your taskbar, then click on Run and type "regedit" and click on OK to start the utility.
     
  2. Expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions (see picture 1).

  3. Create new DWORD values, or modify the existing values, from the list below setting them to equal "1" to enable the restriction or "0" to disable the restriction.
     
    • NoHelpMenu - Disable the entire help menu
    • NoHelpItemNetscapeHelp - Remove the "For Netscape Users" menu item
    • NoHelpItemSendFeedback - Remove the "Send Feedback" menu item
    • NoHelpItemTipOfTheDay - Remove the "Tip of the Day" menu item
    • NoHelpItemTutorial - Remove the "Tour" (Tutorial) menu item
       
  4. The modifications you made will be in effect after you reboot your PC.
