The Windows-based Cron service allows users to run commands at scheduled times, much like the UNIX cron daemon. Users run the crontab Windows command to schedule jobs.

In addition to this Windows-based service, Windows Services for UNIX provides a corresponding Interix-based daemon that runs under the Interix subsystem. For more information, see cron(1).
