rdistd - remote file distribution server program

SYNOPSIS

rdistd -S [-D]


rdistd -V

DESCRIPTION

The rdistd(1) utility is the server program for the rdist(1) command. It is normally run by rdist(1) through rsh(1).

The -S argument must be specified. The option is required so that rdistd(1) is not accidentally started because it normally resides somewhere in a normal user's PATH.

The following options are available:

-D

Enable debugging messages. Messages are logged through syslog(3).

-V

Print version information and exit.
