The main issues you would encounter when running a query or report, aside from creating the wrong query statement, involve security. It’s important to remember that for someone to run a query or report, that person must have access permission to the SMS Administrator Console, the node containing the query or report (such as the Queries, Reporting, or Status Message Queries node), and the database information the query is searching for; otherwise, the request will fail. As mentioned, you’ll learn more about security in Chapter 17.
