Adding WMI Attributes
Using the Configure tool, you can
When you add WMI classes, you will see the new attributes the next time you open Reporter. Also, default report templates containing all the attributes will be created for every new WMI class you add.
You can update WMI classes that you have added by re-adding the same class from a different computer. The update adds any missing attributes, and removes any attributes not present in the WMI class that is being re-added. The report template will also show the updated attributes or, if it has been deleted, a new report template will be created.
To add or update WMI attributes
1.
Select Start | All Programs | Quest Software | Quest Management Suite | Reporter | Configure.

Click the Extend Reporter Attributes tab.

Click Add to select WMI attributes.

Click Add.

Enter a computer name.

Click to enter computer search parameters.
If you choose to enter search parameters, you can enter the computer name, owner, role or any combination of these. You can also specify query criteria.

To remove user added WMI class attributes
1.
Select Start | All Programs | Quest Software | Quest Management Suite | Reporter | Configure.

Click the Extend Reporter Attributes tab.

Click Add to select the WMI attributes option.

Click Apply to confirm the change.

Click OK then click OK again to exit the Configure utility.
To view user added WMI class attributes that have been changed
1.
Select Start | All Programs | Quest Software | Quest Management Suite | Reporter | Configure.
2.
Click the Extend Reporter Attributes tab.
3.
Click Add to select the WMI attributes option.
4.
Click Change Log to display a list of changed WMI classes.
5.
Click Close when you have finished viewing the list.
6.
Click OK, then click OK again to exit the Configure utility.
