Introducing Quest Reporter : Setting Up Scheduled Collections : What Are Scheduled Collections?

What Are Scheduled Collections?
Scheduled collections provide a method for collecting information on your network objects on a recurring basis. As the information is collected, it is stored to the associated database for later use. You can then generate reports from the stored data. Scheduled reporting is a good way to incorporate Reporter into your ongoing Windows network auditing process.
This chapter provides information on how to schedule collections and how to manage the properties of scheduled collections.
An important part of using scheduled collections is ensuring the correct settings for your database. For more information on database setup and scheduled collections, refer to your Quest Reporter Installation and Deployment Guide.
