Configuring users and groups

In order for users and groups to be included as participants in workflows you create using Process Designer, you first need to have created connections for them using the Database utility. Once the connections have been set up, you can access these users and groups from your workflows. You can create connections for both local users and groups and for domain users and groups.

To configure new user/group connections
  1. From the Database utility, insert your username, password, the database server, and the database name.
  2. Click Test connection. Check the results to ensure you were able to connect to the database.
  3. Click Configure and restart services.
  4. Click the Users/Groups tab.
  5. Click Add.
  6. Select either the Local or Active Directory template and click OK.
  7. Enter the display name, domain name, LDAP path, and the user name and password for an authorized LPM user on the local machine or specified domain. For more information, see "Domain settings"
