Linux volume group properties

The Linux volume group properties dialog box shows the properties of the selected Linux volume group.

Description

Major number

The device class number.

Number

Internal volume group number.

Available

Whether the group is available.

Minor number

The number of the specific device.

Physical extent size

The size of the physical extent; all extents are the same size.

Writable

Whether the device is writable.

UUID

The universally unique identifier of the device.

Size

The size of the volume group.

Maximum physical volumes

The number of physical volumes that are allowed in the volume group.

Allocated physical extents

The number of physical extents allocated.

Maximum logical volumes

The number of logical volumes that are allowed in the volume group.
