Linux logical volume properties

The Linux logical volume properties dialog box displays the properties of the selected logical volume.

Description

Volume group name

The name of the volume group to which the volume belongs.

Layout

The layout of the volume.

Number

Internal logical volume number.

Major number

The device class number.

Read ahead sectors

The number of sectors to read ahead.

Available

Whether the logical volume is available.

Minor number

The number of the specific device.

Allocation

The method for allocating mirror copies.

Writable

Whether the device is writable.

Size

The size of the volume.

File system type

The type of file system.

Free space

The amount of space available.

Inodes

The number of inodes possible.

Mount options

The options that are used to mount the device.

Free inodes

The number of inodes available.

Mount point

Where the device is mounted.
