To perform backups and restores of mailboxes, whether with MAPI or with Granular Recovery Technology (GRT), you must meet the following requirements:
(Exchange 2007) On the Exchange Server install the Microsoft Exchange Server MAPI Client and Collaboration Data Objects (CDO) package. On Windows 2008 and later, install version 6.05.8022.0 or higher. On Windows 2003 and later, install version 6.05.7888 or higher.

Create a user account for the NetBackup Client Service and configure the log on account for this service.
