View menu

Table: View menu options describes the available options, depending on which window is active.

Option

Description

Status Bar

Shows or hides the NetBackup status bar at the bottom of the Backup, Archive, and Restore window.

Click this option to change the current state. For example, if the Status Bar is visible, click this option to hide it. Click it again to make it appear.

Description Bars

Shows or hides the description bars for the panes of the Backup and the Restore windows.

Click this option to change the current state. For example, if the Description Bars are visible, click this option to hide them. Click it again to make them appear.

Toolbar Options

Opens the Toolbar Options dialog box so you can change the view of toolbars.

Show NetBackup History as a Timeline

Changes the view of backup images in the NetBackup History pane in a Restore window. By default, this option is checked (enabled) to show backup images as a timeline.

Click this option to change the current state. For example, if backup images appear as a timeline, click this option to show them in a details view. Click it again to show the images in a timeline.

Show All Backups

Shows all instances of the files, folders, or registry keys in the selected backup image(s). You can also click the Show All Backups icon on the Restore window toolbar.

Show Most Recent Backup

Shows the most recent files, folders, or registry keys from the selected backup image(s). You can also click the Show Most Recent Backups icon on the Restore window toolbar.

Split

Changes the cursor to a double bar with arrows and positions it over the vertical split bar between the All Folders pane and the Contents of directory pane. Move the cursor to the left or the right, then click once to change the size of the panes.

NetBackup History Split

Changes the cursor to a double bar with arrows. It positions the cursor over the horizontal split bar between the NetBackup History pane, the All Folders pane, and the Contents pane. Move the cursor upward or downward, then click once to change the size of the panes.

Refresh NetBackup History

Updates the information in the NetBackup History pane.

Save Settings on Exit

Determines if View menu changes are saved when you exit the application or only for the current session

By default, this option is checked to save any View menu changes when you exit Backup, Archive, and Restore. The changes then appear in following Backup, Archive, and Restore sessions.

If you click this option and remove the check mark, any View menu changes apply only to the current session and are not saved. The changes do not appear in following Backup, Archive, and Restore sessions.
