Reset Computer Dialog Box

Resets computers and allows all drive and software jobs of the computer to be executed again.

The security setting and network boot properties defined for the computers remain unchanged. The computers also remain members of any computer groups to which they were assigned.

You can choose to repeat all of the drive and installation actions that were previously defined for the computers, or you can reset the computers without having any of these actions performed.

Note:  If you unchecked the May be Reset checkbox in the Computer Properties dialog box , then the computer cannot be reset.

Force unlock if locked by another Symantec LiveState instance

Forcibly unlocks a computer if it is locked by another Command Center instance. Use this options to unlock computers in emergency situations.

Reassign current software and hardware jobs

If Checked: re-executes the current jobs assigned to the computer. If you are resetting a Cooperative Mode computer so it becomes a Consistent Mode computer, check this box.
 

Warning: If a computer has the NTFS file system, do not check this box.

If unchecked, the computer is reset, but none of its previous jobs are executed. The computer remains listed in the Command Center with no partitioning, hardware, or software packages assigned to it.

Emergency Reset

Computer is reset immediately after clicking OK, ignoring the Server Window and Computer Window.

This computer should not be repartitioned by the system...

The computer will be repartitioned using Fdisk.  

You can choose whether or not this option is displayed, and what the default options of the setting are in the Site Administration Properties.
