You can use the Command Center to explicitly wake up and push jobs to managed computers that are compatible with the Intel Wired for Management (WfM) standard and its Remote Wake-Up (RWU) feature. This action:
wakes the computer up if the computer is not already turned on
immediately polls for assigned jobs
the Agent for Windows immediately executes the jobs
To send an explicit Wake Up/Push command to the computer the computer's Boot Priority must be set to 0.
Note: The Command Center does not check to see if any managed computer is WfM-compatible. When Symantec LiveState Delivery sends a wake-up call to a computer that is not WfM-compatible, the call is ignored.
You may need to explicitly wake up a computer or push a job in the following circumstances:
When the computer with a Boot Priority of 1 or greater has been turned off after receiving an implicit wake-up call.
When you do not know the state of the computer and it has a pending job.
When you are testing a new package and have manually reset its phase to Assigned.
