Symantec LiveState Delivery manages computers by deploying packages to them. These packages are stored in the Package Depot.
A package is a collection of files and software designed to carry out a particular task or install a particular piece of software on a managed computer. All the information needed by Symantec LiveState Delivery to deploy the package and carry out its assigned duties on the managed computer is contained within that package.
Packages that are provided by Symantec LiveState Delivery are automatically imported to the Package Depot when you install the Configuration Server.
Administrators use the Command Center to import additional packages in PAK format.
