The client heartbeat interval determines the
frequency that update messages are sent by the client computer to
the Symantec Ghost Console. The interval you set here overrides
both the default set in the Symantec Ghost Console, and the setting
for the client's subnet.
If you set the client heartbeat to 0, the client
computer has no heartbeat. No update messages are sent by the
client computer, and its status is indicated on the Symantec Ghost
Console as Unavailable. An unavailable client is still a valid
target for a task.
