Status: Status of Directory database backup

Problem: The Directory database has not been backed up.

The Directory database contains critical configuration and archive information and so needs to be backed up frequently.

Work through the following steps to fix the problem. You may not need to try all the steps.

  1. It may be correct that the Directory database has not been backed up. Make sure that the alert is not running too frequently. Change the alert schedule if necessary.

  2. Check that backup jobs are not failing. Contact your backup administrator if necessary.

  3. Check that your Directory database is included in a backup job.

  4. Review your SQL database backup procedures and make any changes needed to ensure that backups happen in a timely fashion.

  5. When you have corrected the backup issue, back up the Directory database.

  6. Run the checks again to make sure that you have corrected the problem.
