Avocent MergePoint Infrastructure Explorer actions
Avocent MergePoint Infrastructure Explorer (AMIE) actions let
you incorporate AMIE functionality within Asset Lifecycle Manager,
and lets you track assets already in AMIE without having to import
them into ALM. These actions are described below.
AMIE integration server:
The AMIE server to be made available to workflow actions in ALM, as
defined in Settings. Select a
pre-defined AMIE Integration Server or a field mapping for this
value.
AMIE asset name: The name of asset in the
AMIE system.
Property name: Select a property name for the
action to retrieve from AMIE. Can be Mounting slot, Plan name, Rack
asset ID, Rack name, or UDP.
UDP name: The name of the UDP value you
want to get.
Results:
The field where the results of the action are placed (see Inserting fields).
Authentication:
(Advanced) Enter the AMIE integration server credentials. If you
are selecting a pre-defined AMIE Integration Server defined in
Settings, the authentication will already be populated.
Set AMIE UDP properties
Lets you set UDP values within AMIE.
Action name: The name of the action.
AMIE integration server:
The AMIE server to be made available to workflow actions in ALM, as
defined in Settings. Select a
pre-defined AMIE Integration Server or a field mapping for this
value.
AMIE asset name:
Name of asset in the AMIE system.
Property name:
Select a property name for the action to set in AMIE. You must
select UDP. UDP is the only property ALM can set. If
options are grayed out or not available it is because ALM cannot
set a value that is not UDP.
UDP name: Select the name of the
UDP value from the dropdown list.
Value: Type the UDP value to be assigned to
the name, or select the value by clicking Choose field.
Authentication:
