The statistics on the Advanced Adapter
Statistics window are read-only and reflect activity on the adapter
since it was last initialized or since the statistics were last
reset.
The following statistics are available for all
HP NC-Series adapters unless otherwise indicated.
Current
Speed/Duplex. Displays the current speed and duplex
setting at which the selected adapter is running.
Current
Throughput. The rate at which data was transmitted or
received on the adapter in the last second.
Activity:
Unicast Frames
Transmitted and Received. The number of unicast packets
that have been transmitted or received without errors by the
adapter.
Multicast
Frames Transmitted and Received. The number of multicast
packets that have been transmitted or received without errors by
the adapter.
Broadcast
Frames Transmitted and Received. The number of broadcast
packets that have been transmitted or received without errors by
the adapter.
Total Frames
Transmitted and Received. The number of unicast, multicast
and broadcast packets that have been transmitted or received
without errors by the adapter.
Total Bytes
Transmitted and Received. The total number of bytes that
have been transmitted or received without errors by the
adapter.
Transmit Statistics (Frames):
Underruns. The number of frames not
transmitted due to underrun errors on the specified adapter. This
statistic is not available for NC61xx and NC71xx adapters.
One
Collision. The number of frames successfully transmitted
after exactly one collision.
More
Collisions. The number of frames successfully transmitted
after more than one collision.
Deferred. The number of frames successfully
transmitted after the adapter deferred transmission at least
once.
Max
Collisions. The number of frames not transmitted by the
specified adapter due to excessive collisions.
Late
Collisions. The number of collisions detected after the
normal window.
Queue
Length. The number of packets that are currently queued
for transmission, whether on the adapter or in a driver-internal
queue. This statistic cannot be reset.
Receive Statistics (Frames):
Overruns. The number of frames not received
due to overrun errors on the adapter.
CRC
Errors. The number of frames received with cyclic
redundancy check (CRC) or frame check sequence (FCS) error.
No
Buffers. The number of frames that the adapter did not
receive due to lack of receive buffer space on the adapter. Some
adapters do not provide the exact number of missed frames, but only
the number of times at least one frame was missed.
Alignment
Errors. The number of frames received with alignment
errors.
Controls:
Help.
Launches the context-sensitive NCU Help file.
Reset.
Resets statistics at the miniport or hardware level. Resetting the
statistics may affect other management services and
applications.
