Diagnostics for HP NC-Series Broadcom 1 GbE adapters

Diagnostics are not supported on adapters with FlexNIC enabled.

• Control Registers. For each Control Register, a pattern is written and the register is read.
• MII Registers. For each MII Register, a pattern is written and the register is read. This test is not available for all adapters.
• EEPROM. Reads the EEPROM and verifies the checksum.
• Memory. Verifies that the internal memory of the selected adapter is functioning properly.
• Interrupt. Verifies that the NDIS driver is able to receive interrupts from the selected adapter.
• Loopback. Tests both MAC loopback mode and transceiver loopback mode.
• CPU. Verifies the operation of the two internal CPUs in the selected adapter.
