Create or Edit Asset Import Job: Select Platform, Asset Type, and Data Collector

The Select Platform, Asset Type, and Data Collector panel presents the following options:

Asset Platform

Lets you select from the following predefined platforms:

  • Enterprise Security Manager

  • Windows

  • Oracle

  • SQL

  • UNIX

You can also select the custom platform that you create in the Schema Manager view.

Asset Type

Lets you select the asset type. The asset type that you can select depends upon the platform selection.

The asset types associated with the available platforms are as follows:

  • Enterprise Security Manager

    • ESM Agent

  • Oracle

    • Oracle Configured Database

    • Oracle Configured Servers

  • SQL

    • SQL Database

    • SQL Server

  • UNIX

    • UNIX File

    • UNIX Group

    • UNIX Machine

  • Windows

    • Windows Directory

    • Windows Domain

    • Windows File

    • Windows Group

    • Windows Machine

Data collector

Lets you select from the following data collectors:

  • Default

    When you select a default data collector, a data collector is assigned to the import query internally according to the selected platforms.

    Control Compliance Suite uses the following default data collectors:

    • Windows data collector for Windows platform

    • UNIX data collector for UNIX platform

    • Oracle data collector for Oracle platform

    • SQL data collector for SQL platform

    • ESM data collector for ESM platform

    • CSV data collector for custom platform

    • CSV data collector for the common fields across asset types
