Copying Computers

You can copy an existing computer to create a new computer.  When you copy and paste a computer, the existing computer's packages and hardware jobs are installed on the new computer.  The new computer must be given its own computer properties.

To copy a computer:

  1. Click <All Computers> to display the computers in the Result pane.  

  2. Right-click the computer you want to copy and select Copy.  

  3. In the Scope pane right-click <All Computers> and select Paste.

The Copy Computer dialog box appears.  

  1. Fill in the appropriate fields and click OK.

  2. The new computer is added to the CCM server with the packages and hardware jobs installed.
