Before you can add a computer to the CCM system, you must prepare it.. See Preparing Managed Computers for detailed information.
After you have prepared a computer for integration, you use the CCM Command Center to add it to the CCM system.
For a new server, you need to identify and add computers that will be managed by the CCM Command Center. You can add computers as Consistent Mode computers or Cooperative Mode computers.
You can specify default values for many of the fields in the dialog boxes that you fill out when you add computers to a server. This is useful if you are adding many computers with similar characteristics.

Once a computer is added to the CCM database, you can partition and format it and deploy an operating system package and CCM Windows Agent package and CCM Pre-OS Agent to it.
NOTE: As an alternative, you can add Cooperative Mode computers by using ONwards to add the computers to the CCM Database and install the Windows Agent. This process is called 'autodiscovering'.
