SMASH CLP

System Management Architecture for Server Hardware Command Line Protocol (SMASH CLP) is the Desktop Management Task Force's (DMTF) suite of specifications that deliver architectural semantics, industry standard protocols and profiles to unify the management of the data center. The SMASH Server Management (SM) Command Line Protocol (CLP) specification enables simple and intuitive management of heterogeneous servers in the data center.

SMASH CLP provides a standardized set of commands for configuration and control of management processors (called Management Access Points) and host systems. On iLO 3, the SMASH CLP is accessed through the Secure Shell (SSH) port.
