Backup Exec Granular Recovery Technology (GRT) lets you restore individual drives, files, and folders without having to restore the entire virtual machine. GRT does not work for system recovery.
You should review the requirements for a GRT-enabled backup before you configure it.
See About requirements for jobs that use Granular Recovery Technology.
To use GRT, you must select the individual drives, files, and folders that you want to restore from the list that appears when you expand the network bios name of the virtual machine. You cannot select individual drives, folders, and files from the virtual machines that appear when you expand Virtual Machines.
See How to restore individual items by using Granular Recovery Technology.
See About selecting Microsoft virtual servers resources for restore.
