The EV Agent is installed locally as a separate, add-on component of Backup Exec.
You can install the EV Agent in the following ways:
Install it automatically from the Backup Exec CD as part of a Remote Agent installation to the local Enterprise Vault server. After you finish the installation, you may need to configure the EV Agent to publish itself to a media server of your choice.

Push-install it to a remote Enterprise Vault server from an existing Backup Exec media server. When you push-install the EV Agent from a media server, the EV Agent automatically publishes itself to the media server from which it was installed.
