This function returns the normalized version of a vector in fixed point format.

Syntax

Parameters

pOut

[in, out] Pointer to the D3DMXVECTOR3FXDstructure that is the result of the operation.

pV

[in] Pointer to the source D3DMXVECTOR3FXDstructure.

Return Value

Pointer to a D3DMXVECTOR3FXDstructure that is the normalized version of the specified vector.

Remarks

The return value for this function is the same value returned in the pOutparameter. In this way, the D3DXVec3NormalizeFxdfunction can be used as a parameter for another function.
